All, sorry I haven't posted before now. Things are going well. We have the basic stuff mounted and we took her for a quick spin last night. We still need to mount the wide-band and boost controller (running on 1.5 PSI springs right now).

Vince's tune was spot on and it looks like we hit our target of peak boost around 3500-4000 RPM with the ability to carry it up to redline.

SC2150 knows his $hit...don't know why all the FL V6's guys aren't flocking here. He's eager to work on these things (many don't want anything except V8s) and does FANTASTIC work!

Anyway, I'll keep trying to post pics (Hotel connection is sloooooow). If we are lucky we'll get to the track this afternoon and I'll have some 1/4 mile times. Monday we put it on the dyno.

Awsome news! Glad it is working out....keep us up to date!

Just got back from the track. As expected, we couldn't hook up. 60' times were not very good. Best run was 13.99 at a little over 101 MPH. We switched the springs out from 1.5 to 3.0 PSI because we didn't have time to do the boost controller. Everything still looks fine, so I'm sure she'll take more.

We made two runs with both of us in the car (so I could log) and two with just Tracey driving. They were all very consistent, so she might make a good bracket car. Pulls like a devil from about 3500 RPM and up.

We still have some tweaking to do on the oiling for the turbos. We are either pumping too much in (but the restrictors are really tiny) or not scavenging enough. Other than that, I'd say it's pretty much perfect and ready for the dyno and final tuning tomorrow.

Glad to see you making progress again!

Thanks! It's been fun. I need tires and trailing arms. Beat two V8 mustangs with the two of us in the car! That was probably the most fun of all. Of course, they had trouble hooking up, too.

amazing

Gretchen, i have been watching from a distance:popcorn: for months now. im in the process of planning the same type of set up. what kind of boost #s are you looking to get?
BTW:drool:all over your car. it is totally excellent!!! :coolpics::coolpics::coolpics:
keep it up:headbang::headbang:

gretchen, how low does the charge piping hang down? from the pix. it looks like that is by far the lowest point on the car. am i wrong?

Nope, the front suspension actually is lower. It would be nice if it was higher, but located right behind the wheels it is unlikely you would hit them if you don't go through big pot holes. Still more clearance than a vette.

thats awesome that the charge piping isnt the lowest thing!!!!:D:D

Okay, we are done at the dyno. Poor Vince, we worked him hard. Turns out this was a little more difficult than the single (flows a lot more than any of us expected). Tune is still not spot on, but he's getting close. In the image below we've got the base run (blue), a 4.5 psi run (red) and 6 psi run (green). You can see we had an issue at the end on the 6 psi run. Looks like he over compensated and we lost fuel (most of the time we were runing way rich). We guess would would have probably hit about 380 on that one. Still, 350 RWHP ain't bad for the first go around. There's lots of room to add to this and I still think I can make my goal of 420-430 RWHP. Torque looks nice and save (only about 300 ft-lbs and still high up in the RPM band), so don't think the tranny is going to granade on us. Overall, I'm really happy.

BTW, we did a run with the boost controller off (just 3 psi springs) and made 301 RWHP. Not a bad estimate from the logs we took at the track, huh???

Thanks!

He hasn't let me down, yet. He's going to be closed for a few days right after I get back to AR, so it may be next week before we can get serious. I sent him the logs from the 6psi dyno run and he's already seen some things to tweak. Next step will be to put the 5 psi springs in so we can get 8-9 psi. That should get us to at least 400 RWHP and maybe 420-430. Then it will be time to stop and work on suspension stuff and good tires.
