I was searching for the "Things You Don't Know About your Camaro" thread and that failed, but this came up.
So I thought I would revive it just so we can see Ladybugsmom's avatar.
What I wanted to add to the "Things You Don't Know About your Camaro"
was that the backup lights in an LS3 don't come on unless the engine is running. That's right. Sticking it in R and turning on the key doesn't do it.
I discovered this a few months ago when I had my right shoulder replaced.
I no longer could turn around in the driver's seat and look out the back window so I added a backup camera.
I searched this forum and found the wires that powered the reverse lights, or so I thought, but there was no power until the car was running and in reverse. Which meant I needed a helper to hold in the clutch. Then I had to trust him with my life.
With an automatic you can set the parking brake and chock the wheels, but we all know what is going to happen when the clutch comes out on an LS3 in reverse; you will be a spec on the wall if you are behind that bad boy.
