Goodyear F1 Tires

Hello Fellows ,

At approximately how many miles can you get out of the Goodyear F1 tires?

Currently my 1 LE has 17,809 miles with the stock tires. This is my first time having Z rated tire and I am not really sure if at what tread reading I should replace my tire. I usually changed my L rated tire between 2-3, and I am not sure for these Z rated should be change at that same rating.

Based on the tire reading, there is some positive Camber on both front and rear. Tires look good overall, but like I said I am not sure, if there ok. Do Camaro's need rear wheel alignment?

Any advice from previous experiences will be really appreciated.

Tread reading:

Tire outer Center Inner
DR 3/32 6/32 7/32
PR 3/32 6/32 7/32
DF 4/32 7/32 7/32
PF 4/32 7/32 7/32

Saludos,

I am averaging 9k miles on my rears and about 12 on the fronts. That said your tread wear looks really really good. I have bought used tires with less tread and run them

The speed rating has little to nothing to do with wear. Treadwear rating (220 on these) will give you an indication of how long they'll last, but how far you run them down is up to you. I've seen F1s run down literally to the point where they look like slicks. The person that owned that car only used it at the track (dry conditions) and had the alignment perfect, so there was no cord showing anywhere. But I daily my 1LE and my wife and kids are passengers in the car every single day, so I change them early.

In other words, quite literally, your mileage may vary.

P.S. it's "camber" not "Cambridge" and "alignment" not "aliment".

I got 17000+ miles on my GYs and I track my car a couple times a year.

I got 23k out of the stock tires. Rears were probably 1/32 at that point.

I'm at 22100, but the tires are done at this point.

How the hell do you get more than 12k? Two sets, both 12,000 miles. How are the new G3 tires for longevity and grip? Any rumors when sizes for our car with proper load ratings will be available ?

I get 8k max outta em...bald and dangerous after that

My rear F1 G:2's were very close(almost flush) to the treadwear indicators @ 15000km.

You'll have to covert to miles.

I thought the speed rating had everything to do, but I will do research more on this. Coming from LT tires, there is not that much to worry about.
Thanks for catching those missed used words.

Dude, that about 9400 miles. That about what some of the guys are running at... So anything above 10k miles (16,100 KM) your above averaged.
