Has anyone been "Surprised"

I am eagerly awaiting my car. (Sometime in August) I am interested in finding out from folks that have their cars if you've discovered any "Surprises" both Positives or Negatives.

Example: Just the other day when I was driving my Chevy Impala (Company Car) I was surprised to learn that if you accidently turn the key to start an already running car I don't hear that awful screeching sound of the starter. There must be some sort of "cut off" to avoid this. This "Surprised" me.

Any examples of "Surprises" from those of you that have your cars would be appreciated. :flag2:

I've discovered that the new Camaro is like Viagra. Everytime I get in it......

Actually, the Camaro also has this feature. At least I know the automatic does... My dealer told me about it when I was trying out the auto-start. Though I haven't tested it during a regular start-up, I can confirm that this is the case when you use auto-start.

Has anyone tried this in a manual yet?

CamaroHutch 07-23-2009 01:38 PM

My 07 Avalanche has the same thing... have not tried it on my LS3

No Auto Start on manual trans. For obvious reasons. But it has the same feature.

when sleeping in my trunk with shunt I really like the night light. it makes me feel so safe. ok yes I know I'm being really silly. I do love the bluetooth though everytime my phone rings the car tells me who it is on the radio and no more fumbling to get the phone. I didn't realize how cool it would be.

What phone are you using?

Mine only tells me the names of the person I've stored.

This is on my Windows Mobile phone...

Interesting....on the Dodge Challenger, turning the key to start for a few seconds when your moving (not just running) is a way to no-so-secretly disable ESP more completely than simply pushing the ESP button. I wonder if there is a similar hidden function to doing this on the Camaro...

The 2010 Camaro is a PENIS-MAGNET. And you're right... guys everywhere pop a chubby when I drive down the street.

I am surprised at the number of men in Chevy trucks oogling my car in comparison to guys driving any other type vehicle!

I am surprised at how exciting it is to drive the car ...every...single...time

I am surprised that I was happy to make my first car payment

I am NOT surprised at the number of peeps on haterade that are Mustang drivers

I am surprised every time I get on the interstate in 2nd and push the pedal and see the white Hyper Drive stripes around me as I zip through traffic just from 2nd-4th

I am surprised by the level of confidence this car has given me

ok that's it for now!

I have accidentally tried to start the LS3 after it has already been started, and there was no clicking of the starter.
