Coil covers fit that fit the LS3?
I'm looking for some aluminum covers for my coils as the stock motor cover looks ghetto. I know the coil brackets are different on an LS1 and LS3, but is anything out on the market yet that will fit the LS3 similar to these LS1 coil covers? Perhaps a vette coil cover will fit the new LS3 coil brackets?

I carry the Roto-Fab products.
They make engine covers which look awesome on the camaro. If you check them out on www.roto-fab.com you will see some ideas. If you need pricing/ordering help, please send me a PM and I will do my best to help you out. |
Cool-- thanks!
So has anyone tried fitting these edelbrock coil covers on the LS3? Their website says it will fit GM #12558948 coils... ??? http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_..._classic.shtml Edelbrock's new sand cast aluminum LS Series Coil Covers are a great way to dress up the LS1 in your street rod or muscle car. These coil covers are designed to eliminate the stock mounting brackets on transplanted LS1 engines by way of fitting coils directly to the underside of the Edelbrock cover. They are intended to create a clean under hood custom appearance and will not fit stock vehicles. These covers accept GM #12558948 coils or aftermarket equivalent replacement coils such as MSD #8245. |

I mean stock cover there chief... not custom fabbed covers made to suit a blower... I'm running an NA setup

The cover I have fit with or without the Maggie, they are coil covers same as those from Edy and seeing how mine was made, it will cost $5 worth of metal to make the brackets after you cut the middle piece off.

Any detials or in-progress pics of your modified coil cover?
|
next time I remove the covers, I will snap pics of the brackets and where to mount to.

Mike at Roto-Fab has some really great options... customizable as well. I ordered a pair last night.

I wish rotofab's website had some detailed shots of their covers not installed on the motor. I'd like to get a look at how they are constructed before I purchase. They dont look quite as finished as the edelbrock covers. Can someone who has purchased the rotofab covers please post some shots of the underside and angled shots of the covers uninstalled for me?
Thanks@!!! |
Gonna necro post here. Anyone used the Edlebrock coil covers on their SS yet?
