New Wheels: Ruff R954 Review/Photos

Hey everyone, just wanted to provide my thoughts on these wheels:

Lets get all this out of the way before I get a PM every second about it-

Ruff Racing R954
Front: 20x8.5 Offset: +20
Rear: 20x10 Offset: +45 (5mm spacers on rear)

Tuck completely under the fenders front and back, no rub anywhere.

Tires are 275/40/20 front and 295/40/20 rear (yes, my rear tires are taller in the rear. I like the semi-"raked" look.)

Got them from Jon @ BestWheelDeals - Read my review in the vendor section shortly.:thumb up:

On to the wheels themselves:

I think these wheels are pretty good. They're a VERY good price, they fit great, they ARE heavy (so all you lightweight freaks, be on the lookout), but keep in mind it takes over 100 lbs to drop 1/10th in the quarter.....negligible to me. Finish is nice on these wheels as well.

Concave Rears:

Down the fenders to show that they tuck:

These look very nice!

Is the spacer just to clear the Brembos? Would the v6 need the spacer? I've been looking for wheels for about a month now, and I have to say , these are definitely the ones !!

Looks good! I agree with you on the "raked" look. Looks so much more aggressive.

You'd have to check with Jon on the V6. The spacer is the clear the brembos in the rear. The concave look puts the wheel VERY close to the caliper in the rear.

Jon told me they had the right offset and where a direct bolt on for the SS.

hmm...well I know that when I fitted them, they were almost touching the calipers. If they weren't, the space was so little that I couldn't physically see it. You might be able to do it without them, but I actually like the wheel sitting a little further out, and more flush with the fender.

I like the look, wish the rear was an 11" so it would fit a 315 or 305, but that is a great looking wheel. I will have to put that on my wheel choice board. And I love the Blue Brembros

Damn, you need to run a spacer on the rear wheels?!?! !

That may just take these wheels off my list :(

Damn, those are sweet! :)

How come? Spacers don't do anything at all. I haven't suffered any decreased performance, vibrations, or anything from them.

They do look very nice.

I don't believe the spacer is needed on the rear ?...at least I didn't when I had my Ruff 943's,45mm rear offset.

The 943's had a nice concave as well, but they were SO Heavy (42lbs),I got rid of them and went with Forgeline's (24lbs)

Some people may not notice the added wieght but I really did.

For the price they are a great wheel though.
