Ground Effects Recall ?

Anybody else having any trouble with the front chin piece of their ground
effect pkg coming off?
I picked up my SS at the dealer and got 200 miles down the highway,
and stopped for gas, and found my chin piece dragging on the pavement.
Called the dealership and they did some checking and found a recall on
the ground effects package. They say I can't get the new piece until late
July, so I'm driving my new car around missing the front piece.:mad0259:

true i don't want to freak out but it seems that every little thing like this might delay the car in area 51:mad0259:wait a sec they are dealer installed right?

Kwaz1335 05-17-2009 04:49 PM

Correct me if I am wrong...but are the dealers the ones installing the ground effects? Most dealers....if in fact there is a recall....would not install them on a vehicle fully knowing as such.

Kwaz1335 05-17-2009 04:52 PM

wait wait wait....they ARE installed by the dealer...could it be the dealer dose not want to look like a bunch of idiots and just have a piece on order to cover thier own asses :paddle:

there is a camaro here with ground effects, and i was looking at the front bumper and there is a tiny gap. am not sure if it was the dumb ass dealers fault, or do they all look like that.

Chris-10 05-17-2009 05:02 PM

I,m gonna go with Instalation Error

nards444 05-17-2009 05:04 PM
