When I was in the Navy I work with the Canadian Navy up on Whidbey Island Washington. While I was there I bought my ZR2 Blazer and all of them gave me crap for calling it a Zee Arrr Two. They kept saying Zed and it took me a while to figure out what they were talking about.

Bouncer.... the Canadian version is zed not zee.... or should i say its the most common.... very rare do i ever hear anyone around here say zee.... its usually zed.
So therefore, I want a Zed28 Camaro, lol. |
I always say Zed 28...anything else just doesn't sound natural. However, I've know a number of Americans in the past and they have impressed Zee on me for quite a few different words...but as far as the Camaro goes it will always be Zed 28. I do call it a BMW Zee 4 tho.

Also, what I've noticed is that for the Z28, Americans tend to say it as all one word, Zee28. But Canadians tend say it more like its Zed: 28, with a little pause. Maybe thats just in my head though |
^I know what you're saying about the pause and I also say 350 Zee
i got a 350Z and i say zee ...??? but i say iroc ZED or ZED 28 ZEE28 sounds like you'd be saying he's 28 in russian or something...ZEE's 28 ZEEEEE's 28
the only time i found myself self saying zee.... was calling the LTZ model Tahoe ltZee.... and that was once.... i know what you guys mean about zee flowing better sometimes... but still its not natural to me.
It's Zed, eh? :sm0:
I call it Zed 28 in Canada but when I was in Kentucky for the F-Body Reunion and in Detroit last August for the F-Body Reunion I called it Zed 28 ! ;) Oh wait a minute, that is the same thing. Never mind! Funny how an imaginary line drawn across a continent can designate different patterns in speech, Eh?
Zed for me,not Zeeeeee :)
I also admit I can't understand why Canucks say Zed too...and I too say 350Zeeee for the Nissans. All that to say.....I am the Canuck who took Zed28.com....a little wink to our fellow Canadians...hope to get to the Ontario show June 14...with my Zed28 SS
It's Zed 28 not Zee..AND I don't call Nissans anything but I call the old Datsuns a 240/280 Zed. :drinking:
