Camaro5 Fest?

Is anyone gonna make the drive to Phoenix next year for the 2nd annual Camaro5 fest?

VictorySS 09-25-2010 12:39 PM

Thats a long drive out there, i think ill wait till they have it a little closer to the east coast

cm5217 09-25-2010 12:50 PM

we need to look into tranports for the cars to see what that would cost I am in just need to plan it right

Phase V 09-25-2010 12:54 PM

unless I'm in Phoenix by next year I most likely won't go

I just got an online quote for shipping the car to AZ it was 800.00 so i emailed them and asked if we filled a truck would we get a group rate and asked for a quote for a full truck from the DC area to AZ. Will let you guys know what they say.

i heard a group in florida is doing the same i might be interested im not sure if all the funds are there and how is that for a round trip transport?

thesnoopster 09-25-2010 04:14 PM

The transport thing sound cool... but is that for round trip??? ... I went last year and we had a blast. So im still undecided...but thats the same weekend for Super Chevy Show @ Dinwiddie.... so right now its in the air for me :iono:

I bet the drive would be fun...but thats like approx 2300 miles .... still debating....

Rob191288 09-25-2010 04:23 PM

I would be interested in the truck too depending how much it is, I want to go this year since I didn't make last years, but if it comes down to driving would like to have some other camaros going as well.

Rob191288 09-25-2010 04:34 PM

Looked into doing a Uhaul but its gonna cost about $1700 one way. :(

cm5217 09-25-2010 05:41 PM

the 800.00 was for one way I know sound like alot but if you really think about it with gas food and atleast 2 nights in a hotel thats going to be about 5 or 6 so is it really alot?? but then we have to think about air fair too so i am just in the planning stages. They did email me back and said that they dont own any of the trucks so they would have to price the cars individually. But they did say i could call them and talk about it so i will call next week and see what i can work out. if you do a search there are alot of car trasports so we can call a few and get the best price.

When I moved out here from SoCal the average rate for a car transport was 800.
I was unsuccessful in finding a lower rate
so I ended up driving out here. It's a nice drive but long.
Still debating this one.

thesnoopster 09-25-2010 08:13 PM

Terry I am thinking about it as we speak.... I will definately let you know what we gonna do :)

thesnoopster 09-25-2010 08:16 PM

I really want to go ... but its the drive thats got me thinking ... but then I also look at it ... the Canadians drove from Canada and the folks from north drove all the way to Ga. it can be done if planned well. Like Chris said... its time to plan early ... im still up in the air on this.
