Detailing the garage for the beast
Who's cleaning up and thinking of ideas to show off
their camaro in the garage!!! I'm going for the checker board pattern (black & white) on the floors, painting the walls a bright white, new lights and thinking of doing a nice chevy bowtie on the wall!! Everything is coming off the walls, at least on the camaro's side!!(nothing falling on this car) I think this would create a nice little "home" for her. Anyone else doing something similar or any ideas?? |
well my woman keeps buying me little match box cars, signs, shirts, etc. so I have a feeling the'll be on the wall of the garage. right next to her toyota until the new camaro comes out.

I just bought a storage barn from home depot to put in the back yard so I can get all my crap out of the garage. I just moved to a bigger house a couple months ago, so my garage is still packed with boxes and junk. I'll do some painting once I get the junk out.

Crap. I gotta get a garage.

Well.......I was thinking that I was going to invest in a 4 post lift earlier this year, but talked myself out of it. I still ran a new 100A service into the garage to provide some additional power since my builder only put 1 duplex in the whole thing. I also wanted to get a storage building to get all of my stuff out of the garage. I'm enjoying having everything out just as much as I would the lift. Besides, my mechanic said I could use his whenever I wanted....so it's a win-win.
I decided to do the whole painting thing while everything was out. Even put a fresh coat on the ceiling. Oh, and the conduit too. As soon as the parking mats stretch out and get the wrinkles out, I've got one more of them that I will be cutting in half to add another layer of protection against any fluids and such. Anyway, here's some pics of what I did to give my new Camaro a nice place to call home along side her older sister........next year this time I'll be trying to decide which one to take out. Decisions, decisions. http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G1.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G2.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G3.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G4.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G5.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G6.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G7.jpg http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/G8.jpg |
I dont even have a garage. :(

I wish I had a 3-car or even 2.5 car garage. My 1.5 barely fits a car and all the crap for the lawn, tools, etc. Oh well, next house maybe, until then, I'll just make sure things hanging are secured VERY well.

4 cars to small for me. i would like another 3

Love that garage!!! LOVE IT! That's got me thinking.....:D :D :D
There's so many things I could do w/ this.....I was thinking the grey, flaked floor. Or, maybe a grey high grade cloth type. I really need to redo the walls. And, I'd like to do the Home Depot storage unit out in the back too, but I really like what space I have in the back yard already. I'd hate to take that away even more. right now, everything is hanging off the ceiling. We'll see when the time comes. |
you have a flat-panel AV system in your GARAGE!?!?!?
 :D |

And thanks TAG......and if you decide to go with a cloth for your flooring, I suggest something similar to what I used. It's by Drymate and Sportsman's Guide online has it the cheapest of anyone. I was gonna paint, but after I read all the different requirements for prep, I figured this would be easier. Plus, I can take this with me if I move. Glad you guys like my choices. Looking forward to seeing what some of you decide to do. |
