GAS 5.00 A GALLON IN THE SUMMER

My fellow Camaro owners. Lybia owns 3% of the worlds oil and if you are watching what is going on in that region you can see the unrest. It will have a huge impact on gas prices this summer. We are already seeing a spike. Hopefully it doesn't go to that extreme.

damn, my 502 Big Block IROC will be getting expensive to drive.

Time to buy stock in oil?

The sky is falling!

If these oil prices keep rising, I think the mod's need to start a mega-thread for this topic, or it's gonna clutter up these forums worse than the Mustang threads.

LOL Better increase the fuel surcharge to cover the additional material.

I just payed $11.45 a gallon for 104!!! It's getting pricey to go fast. 5 bucks would be ok by me.

i feel bad for supercharger guys and turbo guys.
time to get my bike i guess

ssump29 02-25-2011 01:27 PM

LOL, your sooooooooooooo off. That would mean crude needs to get to 200 a barrel and trust me thats not happening. And its more like 1-3% and thats not much. Right now wall street is just making money off a crisis like they always do until people realize the sky isn't falling.

I think it will reach the 4.00 range in the next 6 weeks or so. Don't count on oil not reaching 180.00 to 200.00 a barrel.:(

And NY is always a high spot in the country. Only 3.32 here in michigan where I'm at.

Who cares, what you gonna do about it? People pay over 5 bucks for a cup of coffee, pack of smokes or an adult beverage without a wimper not to mention a redbull for what 2-3bucks for 7 oz?. Stay at home in a bubble or live your life.

I was in the SW suburbs yesterday and was running on E. I stopped at the first gas station I saw near my destination and firstly they didn't have 93 octane, so I had to put in a gallon of 89. But that's not the worst part, that 1 gallon cost me $3.899.... I drove down the road another mile and saw another gas station selling it for $3.699. When I got back home, I filled up with 93 octane at 3.499. Some people are definitely taking advantage of the situation. I am just glad I know where the reliably cheap gas stations around me are.

Also, last time I checked, the US doesn't import any oil from Libya. I posted some links in another thread, but I am too lazy to dig it up.
