Congrats on this build! It's going to be insane!! If I could add one piece of advice from my recent experience with my L99 TT - skip the shorty headers. You don't need to spend the money on them and they won't gain you any power. I had Kooks long tubes before my tt and we took them out for the install and are now using the stock manifolds. They move plenty of air, trust me!! My car dyno'd 545rwhp at 7psi with the Hellion kit.

PM me if you have any questions, I'm not an expert but would love to assist in any way I can. Thanks,

Adam

Thanks Adam, that's a beast you have on your hands. I'll definitely be asking some questions. I was going to put the stock manifolds back on, but they said it would be easier to ceramic coat the DTs.

also, trade out your injectors for some ZR1 injectors or higher. i think you are going to need them but i didnt see you mention anything about getting them.

I wish it was that simple for us V6ers. The direct inject is a different animal, so they won't fit like they did on your LS3. However, if you see some aftermarket 2500 psi injectors that would fit the LLT let me know. I'd jump all over that.

Okay, got caught up at work and was late dropping the car off. Didn't have time to put it on the rack to get shots of where the turbos will go. This is a SS mounting them in the same place. We'll do a few thing differently, but you should get the idea.

Parts are rolling in

So far we have the two turbos:

the two wastegates (can't see the springs, but one will definitely never get used -- it was huge):

and the blow-out valve:

The piping and headers should come in tomorrow, but some will have to get ceramic coated. If they finish up on the build they were working on today, they should start mine tomorrow.

Still need the core for the intercooler...

[QUOTE=GretchenGotGrowl;2473019]SIXJAK, I'll even bring it by next time I'm in Branson.[/QUOTE

Please, please do. Gotsta keep the rest of the boys on board with this whole FI thing. They need to see this up close and personal.

The cars are always parked out in front during showtime. PM me and I'll hook you up with sum VIP tix to the show as long as it's before Dec 11 or after January on the weekends only til March then we're back to 6 days a week.

Cannot wait to see your TT's.

Hopefully I can get it to Centerville before the end of the month. Not sure where in AR you are, but maybe we'll cross paths their or at one of the cruises.

Probably won't make it until January-February. Between work and holidays it doesn't seem like I'll have much free time for the next few months.

Just an update. The shop is closed this week because everyone went to SEMA. They should be back to work on Gretchen by 11/9 and think they will have it ready for the tuning session with Vince on 11/13. I found two possible intercooler solutions and passed the info on to them, but it was right before they left for SEMA so no word on the status of that.

If you want to see their web site (it hasn't been updated in a while) the link is below. The shop is Polk Performance in Alexander, Arkansas. Although the mostly do imports, the cars they race all have Chevy motors and they are doing an impressive rebuild on a LS1 right now.

I'll post more pics sometime next week.

You should. Keep an eye on this thread -- if all goes well we should be putting it on the dyno around 10:00 am on 11/13. You are welcome to come see the action.
