I noticed this but they dont say anything about a conformation number or anything it just says show your USAA card.

2ssJB 05-01-2009 03:35 PM

can't get that link to work, I had to login through usaa and then go to the car buying service. Are you talking about the $750 credit? If that's it will they combine the military discount with that?

Stingr69 05-01-2009 03:35 PM

Unfortunately - that link will not work. :bangdesk:

You have to be a Logged-In USAA member to see that.

-Mark.

Dakota Kid 05-01-2009 03:44 PM

I'm a long time USAA member, I will log in and check it out.

PonyMan 05-01-2009 03:46 PM

Sorry! The $750 does not apply to the 2010 Camaro. If you are a USAA member, login and go to "build your auto", under auto loans. It will prompt you for your local "certified USAA dealer", select the 2010 Camaro and that is when it will tell you that the Camaro does not fall under the promo!!!

Dakota Kid 05-01-2009 03:48 PM

Yup.

herkman 05-01-2009 03:50 PM

I am a member of USAA and after I select 2010 Camaro and build it the way I want, the final price comes up with "No incentives available for this model"

trudawg660 05-01-2009 03:56 PM

Well it seems like when i put in the camaro and all the stuff i wanted on my car, it decided to send it to a dealership and i got this email back

On a related note, I got a quote of $262 for 6 months for full comp-collision with a $500 deductable from USAA on a 2SS. Man , I love USAA

trudawg660 05-01-2009 05:19 PM

some people get a higher quote with usaa. glad am not one of those people.

sykb47l 05-01-2009 09:19 PM

This was just released today.....the memo we got here at work only mentioned a few vechicles that were not eligible. . .only remember the ZR1.

The camaro wasn't excluded on our docs. It did say that you should only need to prove that you are a member to qualify. If we get any more info i'll update you right away.

'Must have much lower coverage, an absolutely flawless driving record and live in the middle of nowhere. That's less than 1/4 of my rate from them! :mad0260:

Where does the money come from? USAA?
If the same as supplier pricing, college discount, etc it is the dealer who takes the loss and therefore can refuse to honor.

Not sure what you have, so I can't say with certainty, but, I have a fairly comprehensive setup, including comp/collision with a $500 deductable and rental coverage while the car's being fixed. Incidentally, it's almost the same as I'm paying on my '93 Trans Am

edit: 100k/300k bodily injury person/accident, 50k property, 100k/300k uninsured/under insured motorist person/accident.

Yep. I'm 40, non smoker, and my last ticket was in 1989. I also tend to only put about 5000/year on my cars, which also affects the rate. It's very much fact that USAA rewards a spotless record and punishes a spotty record.

Idaho falls, Idaho. So yeah. Dead on balls accurate with that one too

I searched the USAA site for Camaro last month for grins just to find out who the USAA certified dealers were. Camaro wasn't there but Traverse was... Now I'm getting letters and e-mails trying to sell me a Traverse. I was suprised to find there aren't many in the Houston area. All would have been a long drive for me.

USAA Rocks (had to say it again)

I see. Almost 33 here, non-smoker. Same coverage, but the mileage is probably a biggie, plus where you live. My record isn't perfect, but far from bad, so I guess, I can see where the difference lies. 'Still sounds far from fair though, but USAA is great, so I stick with them.

Docs say that it is GM is funding the credit.

And it excludes the Corvette ZR1, Cadillac CTS-V, all medium duty trucks, any commercial vehicles, and custom ordered vehicles.

Did the same thing but with the Corvette and G8.

Looks like the dealer I ordered from isn't on the USAA Certified Dealers list.

How do I get this rebate if my dealer's not on the website's list?

TaterDog 05-12-2009 12:32 PM

FYI...for USAA Members--DISCOUNT UPDATE.

I just spoke to a dealer today who informed me that USAA has added the 2010 Camaro to its list of cars that qualify for the additional $750 discount. He said he was aware that the Camaro did not qualify before, but said they have added it as of today. I have not verified this with USAA, but for those of you who are members, it might be worth a look.

Chris

Dan 05-12-2009 01:34 PM

I don't see a specific $750 option but the USAA price is $621 off MSRP in my area. Basically it looks like USAA can get me $500 over invoice.

JDBeck23 05-13-2009 02:19 AM

Um not quite that low, but it's better than MSRP.

Lovestanda 05-13-2009 02:23 AM

What's USAA??? DUH--I really don't know.

JDBeck23 05-13-2009 03:07 AM

its a bank for active duty military folks. Well it was when I was in, im sure they've expanded their membership availability.

They do alot, they are insurance, mortgages, savings, checking, credit card... a real one stop shop if you will.

But in my experience, their rates suck. Im a member at both USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union, and Navy fed has always beaten them at every rate I've seen EXCEPT an American Express CC that I got through USAA. But alot of people sware by them.

Lovestanda 05-13-2009 03:08 AM

thanks!!

Stingr69 05-13-2009 05:03 AM

I just got my USAA insurance quote - $300/6 months to add the new Camaro.

-Mark.

2ssJB 05-13-2009 05:58 AM

It's also extended to reserve members and both active and reserves family members. Also I believe that civil service members with a Military ID will also be able to use the service.

Thanks for the heads up on Navy FCU, have you compared their rates to that of PenFED?

Don't forget us retired military folk too. It used to be, way back in the day, an officers only gig, but for a good 10, maybe 15 years or so now, it's been open to enlisted as well.

I use Navy Federal for my mortgage and my credit card. USAA for my primary checking acct (I can scan a check on my home computer and it's instantly available to my USAA checking account. How cool is that??) and my insurance.

SuperChevyICM 05-13-2009 08:17 AM

Camaro USAA 750

This is available on the Camaro and Runs all the way through the end of the year. So if you have a Camaro that is on order you have plenty of time to still get it.http://lh4.ggpht.com/_hMoSF5yg88A/Sg...USAA%20750.JPG

mlee 05-29-2009 12:50 PM

UPDATE---USAA MEMBERS PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The $750 off only applys to dealerships on the Preferred List and my dealer does not show up on that list... BUT when I presented them my USAA check they told me if I gave them proof of membership I could get 750 off.

Bottom line is I GOT THE $750 OFF and never knew my dealer was on the preferred list at USAA. Call and do some checking. :D

I originally did the search using a Chevy Traverse and found other dealers in my area but not the one I ordered my Camaro from. :iono:

trudawg660 05-29-2009 12:56 PM

mine isn't on the Preferred List but i got the discount also. you can show proof of insurance, loan check, or member card. and they will give it to you.

They are a MEGA powerhouse in the insurance biz. The HQ in San Antonio is like a small military base basically.

Picked up my 2SS/RS on Wednesday, got GM Supplier discount AND the extra $750 USAA discount - just provided a copy of my insurance card. Pretty happy with that based on some of the BS I've seen on here lately

I just got out Whataburgered... that's GREAT!! They asked me for my card which I didn't have so I gave them my insurance paper and that wasn't good enough for my dealer so I jumped on their computer logged in to USAA and printed out my User Preferences page and they took that. I knew about the 750 from this thread but was totally suprised when they offered it to me. Didn't have to do anything except provide proof.
