There's another forum post going on right now that is talking about the same thing. IMO this seems to be ocurring more and more and everytime I read about it, it's on the passenger side of the car. A buddy of mine at Camaro Fest snapped his on the passenger side as well and had to limp off the track. Luckily he was able to get a new pair there from Janetty and the Lingenfelter race crew installed them for him. Thing is, my buddy had no mods done except a cold air intake, no tune or anything. Here's the other thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88829

The stock cvs are not up to the task, give us a call and will get you something that will get you back home no matter how you treat them :)

dont know if I'd fully agree with that.

Uncle Robin runs the stock rear axles with slicks on his 6XX rwhp LSA powered camaro. and he's cutting 1.60 60's

that being said, given the right circumstances, launching a 4000lbs car can take its toll on parts.

Upgrade the axles.. they will handle the abuse. The stock axles suck.

just curious, are you stock height or have you lowered car? seems to be more common on lowered cars

Chuckyx1 06-16-2010 05:35 PM

this cant be on stock tires?

GFORCE1320 06-16-2010 07:09 PM

Yep, the BMR shop car broke an axle. Cant remember which one but it inst a big power car either.
They installed a set of our axles a couple weeks ago so it doesnt happen again.
It's usually the axle that breaks right where it necks down at the boot.

Thanks
Chris @ Gforce
