ACT twin disk.
Who has them and how are you liking them?
Am I the only one? Lol
Had it for about 35k miles and hated it. Swapped it out with an RXT and will never use an ACT again.
What was bad about it?
I have one and hate it also. Cam only and it slips. When I do full throttle 1-2-3. And my clutch pedal will stick to the ground. I would have sold my car already but I. Feel horrible to put it for sale with this shiitty of a clutch in it
1550ftlb clutch slipping on cam only? Clutch sticking to the floor? Sounds like you have the dreaded throw out bearing support failure.
I figured people would hate the chatter or the on off switch feel. |

The Mcloed twin disc is the way to go imo
Buddy of mine has one and its consistent on the pedal and doesnt slip. It does however doesnt like to be slipped at the track so if the track doesnt hold the car from a clutch dump its going to take more finesse than usual to get it off the line consistently.

McLeod or monster twin or street slayer / rps

Luckily it didn't last very long and the RXT fixed all my issues. When this one is dead I'm likely going TH400 or 4L80E with a manual valve body. |

Exactly which one, they make a few ? I used their T2S-G01 on my old LS/T56. Can only say good things about it. It did eventually slip, but it did hang on for much longer than I ever expected, and it was only rated for around 875lbft. Think I used it for about 4 years or so before changing last year Car always drove perfectly smooth. I replaced it with another brand...and by **** I wish I'd just bought another ACT with a higher rating. Current clutch has been a ****ing nightmare !! |
