2020 SS Air Intake Snow Deflector Removal
I understand there is a plastic "snow deflector" in the grill of the SS, is there any benefit to removing this (better airflow into the intake?) and if so, how hard is it to remove?
I live in SoCal so this car will never see snow (and hopefully not rain for a very long time as I have a different DD)... Thoughts? |

15-20 minutes IIRC
I used this to make it easier, but you can use the shorter version if you stick your hand in there. |
Holy crap, that was a pain is the butt, but I did manage to get it out (and got all 3 clips loose but the bottom one is a total b!tch)...
Also, make sure to take note where your hood latch is before loosening it, the hole on the latch are rather large (to provide for adjustment) took me 2 times to get the hood lined up right (first time the leading edge of the hood was a couple mm below the training edge of the front fascia). |

definitely a sense of accomplishment after doing that one for sure |
Any feedback from people in heavy rain areas?

Is there any evidence this provides a benefit on an otherwise stock SS? The SS airbox setup is sized for the ZL1 air flow demands, so I'd be surprised if there's a benefit, but would be interesting if any anyone has some data!
