ill second gringo. while i dont have the v6 camaro, i do have a 3.6l DI CTS (which is the same motor) and at ~114k miles i had to get the timing chain replaced, check engine light, horriable gas milage, and ran like crap.

i was told by the mechanic that replaced the chains, that as long as you change the oil on a reguler basis (not when the change oil light comes on) you should get ~150k miles out of the new one.
