Sorry, hard to fault the insurance company here. This modification voided the factory warranty so unless they were very clear that the aftermarket warranty covered something that voided the factory warranty, probably wasn’t going to happen.

Only 2 issues here IMO. Did you buy the car solely because the dealership told you they could get you a warranty on this car with his modification? And second will the insurance company give you your money back?
