Around the 500 we have had police escorts to IMS and even with only 50 cars it is a harrowing experience . Their idea of a police escort is typically blocking an exit for 30sec and then taking off to the next one (leaving everyone else behind to fend for themselves. However I do understand this is the only possible way to do this with a large volume of cars.

Steve is right! We've both done the escorts to IMS about 3x a year and its wild to say the least! As I tell people in our escort from Hare Chevrolet, anticipate. Drive ahead of where you are, keep a good distance between you and the guy in front of you. I always suggest headlights on but NO 4-WAY FLASHERS as it kills your brake lights. This is something we can all talk to each other about and not talk about each other. Let that sink in overnight and you'll understand where I'm coming from.

We don't want to cause IMPD any issues with this cruise and we don't want to bring unfavorable light onto the club with an incident that took place in New Jersey with the Death Race. Being an Indiana trooper myself, I know how these things can go. We've had a couple of I465 cruises with no more than 15 cars that was a pain in the butt and I threatened to jump out after only a couple of miles.
Be safe and who's buying the pizza? All I can say is look out fro Brad aka BSX_Camaro
