well WE, the houston bunch in this thread so far, knew that.....and we were thinking that it would be better for us to run longer the first day, and make it easier on us getting into the Houston area. the other place to consider, which would have nice/decent places to sleep at would be Fort Stockton, which is about 2 to 2 1/2 BACK. There just isn't much in west Texas once you get past SA. lol
