Quick update: tested the connector and it has power on the pink wire. Pulled the plug and doesn’t appear to have any cracks no oil. Checked the plug wire and seem clean no corrosion on the metal. Checked the wire with the multimeter also and shows .8 ohms set it to 20k is that too low?

If you are still chasing the code for #7 coil, just swap the coil to another cylinder and see if the code follows.

Switched the new coil with another and it did not follow. So of course my luck it’s not the coil.

Have you tried looking up the OEM Service manual diagnostic steps for your code? Free internet stuff and forums can only get you so far.

Quick question to rule out some stuff

Can the tune from Diablo tuner possibly cause this? If it corrupted somehow

Also I have a leak from the gas tank, I think from the seal.

Can one of those cause a misfire?

Hey guys so been busy lately but have a few questions.

So today the check engine light just turned off by itself. Does that mean it hasn’t misfired for a few cycles and computer thinks it’s fixed? And does that signify anything?

Also if it’s the lifter how would you be able to tell after pulling the valve cover off? And how big is a lifter job?

Appreciate any answers thanks 🙏

Alright so here we are again. After a few weeks the engine light came back on and actually flashed for like 10 sec’s before just staying on.
Quick recap of what I already have done.
Changed the coil
Changed the spark plugs
Swapped plug wire
Replaced battery
Checked the coil connector and has power
Checked the grounds and all seem to be ok and tight

Also what I have noticed when I first start the car it runs fine even when I start driving it it feels like nothing wrong, but I’d say about 20 mins of driving once everything is getting heated up it starts driving like shit and shakes bad above 2nd gear. And eventually the 3 lights come on for about 20 sec before going off again. Any ideas what it could be, if it’s fine while cold but gets bad when warmed up past 20 mins.

Flashing Check Engine Light is typically misfire to the point of damaging the Cat. What codes showed up this time?

Final update
After constant trying, it started getting extremely hot and gave up so took my car to the dealer. They found that the harness coming from the computer going across the front of the block is held by a metal bracket which sits right below the oil cap. The wires kept rubbing against it and eventually cut into the the wire. So he replaced a portion of the wire and now all is well.
