What's the best scratch remover?

What is the best product used to cover up a scratch/fill it in?

IF it is just slight on the clear coat, I've gotten that out with meguire's scratch-x. If it is a little deeper and you can feel it with your fingernail, I used Quixx. If it is down to the primer, you'll have to do touch up paint.

When it comes to touch up paint, my advice is stop at good enough.

Yup.

If the first two don't get it, you also have sandpaper route. I would ONLY do that if you have a knowledgeable person showing you how....or do it FOR you.

Just in the clear coat - System One X3 compound and a microfiber cloth to polish it out.

Into the base coat - above, then touch up paint

My dog has put a scratch on the car (also black.) I'm assuming it won't be difficult to take out, though - she is so excited to see me she stands on her back feet and plops her paws on the car when I drive up, and her claws have scratched it. But it isn't like her claws are sharp, and she's really just a hound pup, so she doesn't weigh much...easy fix?
