What's the best scratch remover?
What is the best product used to cover up a scratch/fill it in?

IF it is just slight on the clear coat, I've gotten that out with meguire's scratch-x. If it is a little deeper and you can feel it with your fingernail, I used Quixx. If it is down to the primer, you'll have to do touch up paint.
When it comes to touch up paint, my advice is stop at good enough. |

Yup.
If the first two don't get it, you also have sandpaper route. I would ONLY do that if you have a knowledgeable person showing you how....or do it FOR you. |

Just in the clear coat - System One X3 compound and a microfiber cloth to polish it out.
Into the base coat - above, then touch up paint

My dog has put a scratch on the car (also black.) I'm assuming it won't be difficult to take out, though - she is so excited to see me she stands on her back feet and plops her paws on the car when I drive up, and her claws have scratched it. But it isn't like her claws are sharp, and she's really just a hound pup, so she doesn't weigh much...easy fix?
