Best heads for FI?
As the title states I'm looking for the best heads for forced induction because I am about to install a single turbo kit. Trying to squeeze as much horsepower out as I can lol...And what options for lifters, head studs, valve springs etc. anything helps thanks

It would most likely be the most expensive, say some small bore Mast heads LS7 with its obligatory 1.8 ratio ported up by Frankenstein for like a grand more so about 5 grand later..... Studs are hard to put in the back so a PITA, lifters varied response there.... on what you want Johnson, morel, low lift, stock...etc Valve springs are cam specific, and ARP the base for any fastener, the deal is with a stock bottom end you should stay lower end of boost and asingle turbo will only give you so much anyway and stock GMPP ported heads would be affordable for most...

No need to do heads, just turn up the boost if you want more power.

Horsepower is horsepower. Stock LS3 is good for 800whp, L99, your limit on the tranny is going to be 650whp, unless you build it. Whats the difference if you get to 800/650 with heads or boost? There is no difference. One method leaves you with a heavier wallet.

You will run out of turbo fuel or motor before needing to touch heads. Some lightly ported LSA heads are a good budget choice that can take you into the 1000hp range.
I wouldn't let Frankenstein come close to a ls head. Way to many horror stories about there ls heads and a local just got some and lost a good amount of power over stock.

I'd port the heads. Make more power with less boost. Turn the boost up to the previous amount and see even more. Its all about efficiency.

Id save my money until you build the motor. This is the freshly ported head off my cousins agp tt stock bottom end L99. Did cam, ported heads, 4L80 all at the same time and it lasted about a month and something let go destroying the whole motor
