Brief Background
My love for the camaro started when I was 16 and bought my first car. A 1999 z28. It was all black, just like my current, and I absolutely loved it. I eventually sold it when I turned 18 and bought my 2005 crewcab silverado (which I still have but am in the process of selling now). The truck was fun but ever since the 5th gen camaros came out I knew I would own one eventually. On 12/26/2012 I bought a used 2011 Camaro SS/RS. I was so anxious I bought it without selling my truck first. I am in love with this car and thanks to everyone at Camaro5 I already have a growing list of mods and things to add. I will keep this thread updated as I add new things. I am ALWAYS open to advice on any DIY techniques or mods that you guys have done and love, the cheap things really catch my attention .

And thanks guys. I just ordered a new bowtie and ss emblem from Lupe so that will be the next addition. Next week I hope to order hood spears and headlight/taillight tint!

My advice on the blacked out tail light bezels: buy them from gmpartshouse.com and paint them yourself. They are $15 each from them and WAY cheaper than some I've seen already painted. Just give them a good sanding, a couple coats of primer then paint. I used BBQ pit paint (you can get it in a spray can from Home Depot) because its meant to be outdoors in high heat and hold up. Buy them and do this because its very difficult to remove them without breaking the tabs, but they snap into place really easy. That way you don't have to stress about breaking your only set. I also did the same thing on the Camaro badge. Defender works sells a black set that is absolute crap for $100. Each one from gmpartshouse is $8, it's OEM and it comes on an applicator strip. The trick is how to paint the letters and keep them on the strip.

Can't give away all my secrets...

I wouldn't do it. You can't think of plastidip as permanent. Once it starts to peel, you're screwed.

Read up on the plastidip. People like it because its not permanent. They say things like "4 months and it still looks good!" Not for me.

Added to to-do list! I have thought about this before, it may not be done very soon but eventually I will

Re-constructed the thread to make it look like an actual build thread
