Sources say GM to close plants up to nine weeks
DETROIT - Two people briefed on the plan say General Motors Corp. will close most of its U.S. factories for up to nine weeks this summer because of slumping sales and growing inventories of unsold vehicles.
The people did not know exactly when the shutdowns would occur, but both say they will include the normal two-week closure in July to change from one model year to the next. I doubt this includes the Camaro line. IF they can get some good sales numbers above the pre orders. If they stack up on lots then there will be a problem.

Isn't the Camaro made in a canadian factory...? Not trying to sound insensitive and only worrying about my precious Camaro, but does this affect Camaro production. Why dont they take the Employees of the factories shitting down, send them to Canada and make Camaros Faster, that way its all a win win. No lost jobs and faster production for us psychotic Camaro freaks!!!

Doubt the Camaro will be affected. Why would GM delay making cars that have already been ordered? If isn't as if dealers have dozens of Camaros just sitting on the lot. Delaying production on Camaros would just cause people to cancel their orders, which would hurt GM.
