Last minute Photo tips/tricks for an indoor Car Show?

Ipods charged, Check.

Battery charged, Check.

New 16GB SD card, Check.

New Mono pod to avoid blurry picture, Check.

Feeling like a little kid before Christmas morning, Priceless.

So I have been honored with Media Credentials for this years MCACN and if anyone saw my pix from last year I did pretty good considering my amateur status. I use a Cannon Powershot 750 SD set for max pixels and superfine resolution.

So I am just curious if any of you photo pros have any tip/tricks you could share with me at the last minute before I head over there tomorrow afternoon and this weekend.

Thanks in advance,
T.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Check out BlackBeauty's pics. They have won some pretty impressive indoor car shows.

You will need a high ISO and a lower shutter to get pictures inside, even if it seems like theres enough artificial light.

A mono pod is a good step. If you have a good flash you can use it but try to aim it away or use a diffuser.

With the 16GB card I should be good for about 6000 pix, Check.

I did a search for that username, BlackBeauty, and didn't see any pix or posts. :(

I have a few last minute things to take care of and will head up in a few hours so if anyone has anything else....

When you say low shutter do you mean "long" shutter speed? Or a slower setting to make images to appear brighter?

The flash is built in so I am kinda screwed there.

Lower the shutter speed = stays open longer. Speed is how fast it opens or closes, Some cameras do display this number as how long it stays open.

If the flash is built in you can add a diffuser, some people have added scotch tape over the flash, it helps diffuse it and doesnt make for those hard "flashy" looking pictures. Use the cloudy scotch tape not the totally clear kind, and you may need multiple layers, gives it a "soft" flash like pros, and you can just take the tape off when ur done

Good luck

Can't wait to see photos of the show! As for indoor pics, it'd help if you had a fast lens. That way you don't have to mess around with strobes and diffusers and such.

Here are a few from tonight.

A row of ZL1's in every color imaginable. I have a picture of each one of these.

From the other end. The closest orange one, which you can just see, only has 911 miles.

The new ZL1 unlocked with no one around.

This one won't be unveiled until tomorrow but I met the owner and it has a great story.

Yes, this is a Tucker and it is beautiful.

I will be back tomorrow for more pictures. I got about 150 tonight.
