How to beat AFM with A8
This might be old news but I couldn't find anything on it. To keep AFM from activating you need to go from park to manual mode and shift manually. I tried to make it come on for many miles and it never went to V4 mode. But I went from park to reverse and physically moved like 10 feet and then went to manual mode. The car then would activate AFM. So if your like me and don't like V4 and don't mind shifting the A8 this might be for you. Thought this might be interesting for some. Has anyone else tried this?

Yes...been doing this since I bought my car 3 weeks ago. I can also run faster shifting it manually because the stock shift points are too low...especially in 4th gear. I am itching to hook up my HP tuners and go to work, but I do not want to void my warranty yet.
