Service stability on

Just want to know if this has happened to anyone else. So I was driving on the highway and my service stability came on. The car started jerking so I got of the highway and heard
a ticking sound. Can someone inform me of what kind of problems I'm having.
Thanks

I had an issue with my 15 Malibu last year very similar. I could hear a ticking sound from time to time seemingly coming from one of the front wheels, then after a while the 'Service Stability' light came on.

Took the car to the dealer and they discovered that a flake of rust came off one of the front brakes (rotor?), dropped down and ended up lodging itself in between the wheels speed sensor and it's reluctor wheel, preventing the car from reading the wheels speed.

So it was only the Service Stabilitrak light and nothing else?

Is the car running ok, no ticking when stopped, correct? Just making sure you didn't get multiple warnings along with the Stabilitrak. Also, what do you mean by the car was jerking?

The car does have a ticking sound when I stop. I runs find just but when I stop it sound rough and the the stabilitrak comes on and goes of when I start driving. The jerking was like I had a very big cam in it. I guess I should have said rocking not jerking.

Is it an L99? This is a common symptom when the AFM starts to go out. I've experienced this first hand. If your service engine light comes on, don't play around.

Sounds like a misfire. get it checked out you don't want to drive with a misfire.

I have a mis fire in cylinder 7. Did a compression check and it was good swapped the coil packs and still the same. Also pulled the injector cable and no change. Changed the sparkplugs also.

You mean you unplugged the injector for #7 and no change? That wouldn't really tell you much about the injector just that the misfire is on #7. Make sure you have voltage going to the coil. Other than that. Injector or possible lifter collapsed.

I did A voltage test on cylinder 7 and it was reading fine.

I changed the injector and no change still a misfire. So I removed the valve cover and no physical damage shows.

Check carefully for a cracked valve spring.
