later delivery question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I'm about to pull the trigger on the 2SS/RS 6M...
BUT I don't want to take delivery until mid Sept. early Oct.
Dealer has an allocation of 14 with 6 taken. it's all speculation on when they'll show up, but many of you have a much better idea of how the production is running. When would YOU submit the order assuming my preferred delivery?

Why not just wait until they show up on lots later this year? All allocations that dealers were given were through Q3 2009. So if you order now, there is a good chance you will end up with the car before you want it.

yes, I could do that- I could take the chance that the dealer would have a black 2SS with the RS package, 6M and nothing else- the dealer would just have to order the ground effects package and install himself...but I suppose its just a personal preference that I don't want the body shop screwing with the car putting the parts on- I don't want to get a car thats been sitting on the lot with other people getting in it, possibly driving it etc. you know?
