What seems fishy? The service records, 3 owners with one only being a couple of months, or the annual registration renewal?

Report is clear. Low miles, no problems. Someone drove the car for a while then sold it.
If the auto listing does not match the CarFax, then I'd question why. I was once looking at a Vette. I call the dealership, and they say it's actually owned by one of the owners of the dealership and is a private vehicle. I checked the CarFax, listed mileage was higher than the listing.... well, the C5 has a button to switch between kilometers vs. miles. The math checked out. An accident was reported, they told me they hit a deer and the car was repaired by a well known local Vette dealership who specialized in repairs. There were lots of red flags and I believe the explanations they provided checked out. I wouldn't have known any of this if I didn't check the report and then follow up. However, common sense prevails. A pre-purchase inspection can sometimes reveal things you won't see on a CarFax report. |

Yeah about that Carfax...
Yes it's possible to get a car fixed too and have it not show up on a carfax. But hey Carfax says the car has DOUBLE overhead cams and 16 valves, so it must be true!

Seems okay? I have owned perfect cars for a month and sold them. Numbers of owners isn’t overly considering if that’s the issue?

Traded in a car that had the uniside replaced due to scrubbing a guard rail. Bought one where clearly the front bumper had been replaced and the splash shield and fender wells were a little beat up. Neither incident was on the respective carfax report. Just examples.

Yeah if you pay out of pocket for repairs (no insurance involved and no police report) it probably won't show on carfax.
All their guarantees are carefully worded with Get Out of Jail phrases like ".....that was reported to us".
