Foam / Power Wash Gun Question
I tried to search but could not find what I was looking for. Is it worth the extra money to get a power washer and foam lance? I have looked at a bunch of foam videos and the Gilmore or Adams is nice but none compare to a pressure washer one. If I'm gonna spend $100 on an Adam's package one I can get a small power washer and foam lance for a little more. Input please.
Thanks Everyone!

I can only give my opinion on this...I got my "foam gun", but it's not a Gilmour or anything like that. It does the job for me and foams up pretty good. I think I got mine for $25 or so. Here's a pic of it in action:
Not so sure that this question boils down to a "your preference" answer. But maybe more foam equals better lubricity for dirt and things.

I have a foam lance and I love it. I think you need to ask this question.
Am I buying this just for the foam lance or am I going to have more uses for the pressure washer? Reason I state this if you break down the cost it is roughly like this Gilmore $50 Foam Lance with Pressure Washer $150-$200 depending on the pressure washer. Next thing to consider is the soap, if you do not use good soap in the lance it is a big waste of money as is the gilmore. You want a good slick, long lasting sud soap. Adams soap isn't that great in the lance but works great in a gilmore. I would suggest the following three soaps for not only the suds they produce, but the slickness and the longevity. Each of these will still have suds clinging to the ride at least five minutes after you spray the car. CG Gloss and Wash CG Maxi Suds II Mequires Hyper Wash Lastly do not use the Karcher Foam gun as it is a piece of garbage. |

I like the Zanio car wash but it does not seem to sud up much and is expensive. I could use another brand to pre soak and then wash with Zanio. I have an idea to use the power washer for other stuff but mainly just for the cars.
If there is a good foam gun with regular hose pressure I guess that would be ok. Does the Gilmore work with Zanio well?

Ok, but if I get made fun of...
The foam gun I use is the ez Foamer by eZall. I got it at a local equestrian store (where they sell horse supplies and such). I think you can find a local store by going to the "Where to Buy" link. The one I bought doesn't come with all the fancy gizmos that are shown on the website. Oh, and it is not made in the good ole U.S.A. EDIT: I should have gotten the pink one...
