Rained last night; Drivers side floor mat wet?

Yesterday the forecast called for rain overnight, so I indexed both the windows on my lunch break yesterday due to the fact last time it rained I had some moisture on the passenger side rear floor area.

So this morning the driver’s side floor mat was soaking wet on the edge that is close to the seat, the carpet underneath was damp, but not as wet as the mat itself.

Any ideas? I really would rather try and fix it myself then go back to the dealer.

Thanks

There have been a few posts about this, I'll try and find one.

Ok, here is one. There are some other threads in that thread as well:

Thanks, I had looked at that thread, most of it was the A/C issue, but I have not had the A/C on, the one post said the carpet was wet after the car was washed, but no info was posted after the poster took it in to the body shop.

is there any sign of where the water is leaking in? When i get a car wash water/soap goes inbetween my door and the door sill but doesn't work it's way up. Maybe the weather stripping there is weak, etc. so it's leaking through that bottom part of the door?

That's what is driving me nuts, I felt all around and could not find area that felt wet, even ran my fingers under the plastic edge of the sill plate and still could not feel any moisture, the driver's side door panel has been removed twice, the first time was to repair the ambient light in the door panel, then another time to replace the lower speaker.

Get in the car and have somone use a hose to wet the area you think may be leaking,9 time out of 10 it's the door seal, make sure it is not crimped or torn,I have injected silicone in the void down the center of the seal to make it seal better to the body and door.

Well I did them yesterday before the rain, the purpose is to set the memory so they close all the way tight after they go down and up after each time you open and close the door.
