Well ... about the best I can think of is moving it from Camaro5 to Camaro6 & back every couple weeks, leaving a re-direct link. That would keep it fresh (especially if I, or another mod, bumps it with a 'moved' post)

In our efforts to produce the lightest street legal 5th Gen possible we have employed the use of a well dialed in plasma cutter and template.

Our target weight, wet, ready to run with massive 325/30/19s is 3.450 pounds.

On the performance aspect I have no doubt. But what do you think about visibility, trunk space and rear seat room?

Mr Wyndham is in full lust and love with the 5th Gen. Every report I have had on the 6th Gen has been glowing with only minor nits and picks.

Very True.

The rear seat is virtually useless. But not the worst car on the market in that respect. In a pinch, you can use them...but it's not going to be comfortable.

Visibility is true Camaro. Narrow windows, but long doors with no B-pillars to blind you like a sedan or SUV. The A-pillars are skinnier than the 5th gen's so forward visibility is improved, particularly if you're trying to find your line through a corner.

Trunk is fine. Same tiny opening, slightly narrower but plenty deep for my uses.

What's really thrilling is the combination of comfort, technology, quality, and performance. It's unreal.

I've got a touch decision to make soon, because I just got done upgrading the 1LE to nearly-Z/28 status....hrrrmmmmm....

6th gen is hands down a much better car. Put a Z on it and it's a no brainer.

You two will have to forgive Number 3.

He wants the 6th gen to be a great car, period. Not just a great pony car. On the latter there are a number of compromises that you expect to make -such as visibility or passenger comfort. On the former, there is no need for qualifying statements along the lines of 'well the ___ is bad, but its not the worst'.

Sporty cars (life) are a compromise.
