This is probably a dumb question but here goes anyway. do any of these kits, metra, alpine or this one, is it just the dash kit? I have seen prices for some and they seem quite expensive for the dash kit.

They are much more than a piece of plastic. Just look at pictures of any of them. They completely replace the existing HVAC controls of the Camaro.

Well - the Scosche/Alpine kits include an LCD touch screen, which is more complicated than Metra's. There may be more reasons for the delays. Is any of it coming from Japan?

The fit and finish of the Metra is junk. The interface is buggy as well. Being early doesn't necessarily mean good. I will be tossing mine out as soon as something more polished comes out.

Even when the Scoche comes out, there will probably be some bugs along with it so I will wait tik most of them get worked out.

Just called my local alpine dealer and he told me to come buy and special order it. I asked him how much and he said I have to come in to get pricing and he can't give the price over the phone. I hope this store isn't about to mark this kit up sky-high.

If tells you to put money down to reserve one turn around and walk out. No one has a solid release date yet and you always here someone say next month it will be released.

Yeah, just called the same company on another side of town who knew more info and he told me to call next monday and he'll call a alpine rep.

let us know what he says, I am talking to the audio store here and he is going to email his rep but not sure everone is being honest with us on how long it going to be on the release.

Looks great. and yall shouldnt rush them cause if they hurry and put out sum bs the every1 is going to b mad and out of $400. so patience every1 it will pay off in the long run.
