I dont think you buy a gift for your wife. You build her something or do something special for her. The simplest one for me that meant the most was building a picture frame because she couldn't find one that she liked. Most people buy what they want/need through out the year so "buying" gifts is torture. Think outside of the box and it will usually cost less and won't be forgotten in a couple of weeks.

You know that in this case DO NOT get her what she told you to get her. Don't you hate that when they tell you to not get them anything. If you buy her a gift she will tell you "I told you not to" , and if you don't? Well the couch may be familiar territory.

I wonder if the iPad mini is anygood. She spends hours looking at her iPhone, so the mini would just be a bigger version of that. Hmmmm

Anyone have the mini that can give feed back?

That could work on more than one level. She gets a gift I make and I get to buy some new tools.

I have one, I am on it right now posting. I sold my Ipad 1 to get this. I like it a lot better. It's faster and I like the Camera.

I built my wife an AR15 for Valentine's Day. It really is hers, not mine.

I saw a Volt with the license plate 'KICK GAS' I found it pretty funny.
