Had to of been an old one since 09 they have been 265 hp and running 13.5's and 0-60 in 4.7 sec. There's a stock 09 265 hp WRX running in the 12's so watch out for the new ones.

From what I understand one guy (last year) ran 12.9 in freezing cold weather (my guess he was boost creeping and who knows if he wasn't tuned for exta boost - you'd never know). 12.9 is an outlier and way faster than what they run on average. It usually takes excellent driving and excellent conditions to get one in the low 13s. Most with good driving and good conditions are in the mid 13s.

^ True, my buddy's best 09 time is 13.4@102 but he wasn't power shifting and the temp was in the 60's, so he might be able to pick up another .2 since his 60ft was only 1.88. They are fun little car's to pickup if you live where it snows or like to ski or snowboard and turn consistent mid 12's with a tune and down pipe, and can pull hard on the top end with a bigger turbo with methanol injection.

Not bad for stock, and they respond very well to simple mods since they have a sti turbo and 1 less gear change to get down the 1/4 vs sti, but if your gonna go above 350whp then the sti is a better choice since it has a stronger trans.

I wouldn't mind a new auto modded Z/28 and new modded STI sedan parked in my garage....but who wouldn't

I lined up against a new one and he ran an 8.5X in the 1/8 mile last night. My best in my V6 last night was a 9.09 with a DA of just under 1500. Two bad launches by a 07 GT manual and I went 2 out of 5 against him. Had to tell him that I only had an auto V6!

I dont think a V6 has a shot vs a newer one unless the driver is just incompetent. Ive raced (at the track) one 3 times and every time they get me off the line by 1/2 a car length or so, but by the time I get to the end of 2nd gear I am pulling even and then take the lead for good. Usually winning by 3 or 4 car lengths.

I really like Subarus. They are fun to watch launch and take you out of the hole. It gives you something to look forward to when you go flying by at half track with the blower screaming... This is in my Supercharged Cobalt, I can only imagine the effect is similiar in an SS Camaro.

It's nice having a car that doesn't have to launch hard to get low 1/4 mile times. Less strain on the drivetrain and more reliable. Seen plenty of Subarus break on the line.

When it comes to winter/snowboarding trip cars, I'd take a Subaru over almost anything.

But most WRX's/STi's trap around 100-102 mph or so. In similar conditons the SS will trap 105-108 mph. The SS has a ton more top end speed. So if the race is anywhere close around 60mph or so, the SS will easily win the race. But a well driven STi is very capable of running low 13s with a fast 60' time.

Top end - STi's and WRX's aren't very fast. A V6 Camaro could easily keep up with a WRX or STi at speeds over 80mph or so.
yaaaaa rightttt... 1.8 secs to 60..... stock so its faster then a bugatti to 60 stock ... dude

60' = 60 feet, not 60 mph

Silly, you should know I'm talking 60' time (at a track). 1.8 is very fast for a stock street car on street tires.
In my very lightly modded STi, I was pulling 1.66 sec 60' times.
