Nope just to darn hard plus you need to remove the dash to take out the AC duct work and bolt up the HUD.

I remember this nut that did it that way, and later had to rimove the dash to install, So yes you can but its better the other way.

I found that the HUD was easy to get use to .. I miss it when I drive my Truck .. Nice install.
