Thats a sick Camaro in that screenshot. Im not really a gfx sort of guy but I like those (minus what looks like a Pontiac style lower opening in between those vents where the fog lamps were). I like the side ones and the hood too. Im iffy on the headlights, but its definitely better than seeing the pre-pros for a change!

Edit: Oh yeah, and isn't the grill on the Chally from the concept or whatever? I don't think they have the cross-hair grill on it anymore so it seems to me the game is using old specs and then taking some artistic license with these cars as far as accessories go.

And also, while I'm thinking about it, I followed the developer diaries and info from Forza Motorsport 2 pretty carefully, and they'd mentioned that auto manufacturers have a lot of sway with what screenshots can be released and which ones cannot. So the release of video game screenshots can be another subtle tool for a manufacturer to "leak" promotional information and gauge reaction from the internet...

I'm lovin' it too GM! Great ground effects and if you don't make hide-aways, somebody else will. Those look great too!

Gangster looking cars are not my style, I will simply be happy with the car looking as closely to the concept/bumblebee as possible.. The Dodge Challenger in the picture looks amazing by the way. Is there a picture that has the Challenger next to a Concept Camaro just to see the size differences. In the picture, above, it is hard to tell..

The hideaways would just be covering the halos and would reveal halos when opened. They don't replace the halos.

Either way, I like the screenshot. not a big fan of the dual intake pontiac theme with the front bumper, but meh...

I've heard it claimed that this is the first game with the Challenger and the Camaro but they were both in Need For Speed: Carbon. That was from late 2006 ~9 months after the NAIAS.

Wouldn't it be funny if they put the prepro headlights onto the Camaro for this game?

This might be the first game with actual specs on the camaro and challenger. The camaro in NFSC was the concept.

Perhaps. But it sounds like the release of the game will be awfully close to the reveal of the Camaro. So the developers would need to have gotten the info from GM in order to create a model for the car. They would need that info pretty soon. It looks like they have the exterior done for the Camaro for the game already. I simply don't see GM sharing production info on the Camaro with a game developer.

However, isn't midnight club more of an arcade type game like the NFS series, rather than a racing simulartor like Grand Tourismo? If thats the case, power is measured on a sliding scale not a number.

Bingo. They can have guarantees and process the car as such:

They can have information such as "the camaro will be slightly faster than a challenger in a straight line and will beat mustangs in the corners..."

Slide the bar a bit for acceleration past where the challenger's marker is
Slide the bar a bit for the handling better than the Mustang.
