Had the same issue with space behind the head unit. I made the same cuts shown in the photo and have plenty of room now.

I believe you are also supposed to cut those two alignment pins directly above the bottom two radio mounting screw locations.

That's a good idea. I cut the hump out like the instructions said but still real tight. I'm going to cut the rest out like you did tonight. Thanks

I had to file the slots in the mounting brackets that slide over those mounting posts, as well as cut the bump in the back of the opening. Didn't have to cut out the bottom of the opening though

Theres no need to butcher the dash... I didn't have to cut the bump at all. Had my buddy, Beast6162, grab the PAC control module, antenna, etc. by reaching through the glove box.... he guided the wires up behind the dash as I slid the radio in. Beat6162 extended all of his wires so the pac module sits under / behind the lower Guage pack.

We both have the Kenwood uinit... is the Pioneer bigger?

Curious how changing the vehicle settings is working out? Looks like you now need a laptop to change them. Anyone care to comment that has done the install on a newer camaro with mylink?

I thought about this as well, but then I realized that I haven't changed my vehicle settings since the day I bought the car almost three years ago. The only settings I'd occasionally change were the time and bluetooth. Both of which will be on an aftermarket radio.

I too have not gone in to the vehicle setting in quite some time, just wondering how intuitive it actually is, regardless of need to actually change them.

What vehicle settings are you referring to exactly?

Dash display settings are controlled by your left turn signal stick controls

Not sure about the MyLink radios, but on the pre MyLink radios there are a bunch of vehicle personalization options.

How the exterior light illuminate when arming/disarming the alarm, remote start settings, Bluetooth settings, clock settings, date settings, etc. I'm sure there's more that I can't remember.

Just the same type of settings that are normally changed in the mylink interface. The ones you need to use the computer for after the install. anyone have any issues with it, does it work well? just havent seen any one comment on it yet, but i guess thats a good thing.

Nothing is controlled by the radio. 2012 Owners Manual

Bluetooth, clock and date are radio settings and will be replaced when you purchase a new head unit.
