So why does this issue not affect the v6?

The V6 uses a different MAF sensor.

reviving this thread!

ok so I have a 2010 SS. EVERY DAMN WINTER I get the SES light and Reduced engine power. I forgot the code but it happened again this morning (its snowing here in NY). I haven't had a chance to plug the car in for the code but can this be the cause? Maybe I have weak MAF and the cold throws it out of balance and then I get this crap happening? Its been to the dealer numerous times but they constantly tell me theres nothing wrong and that they cant duplicate the situation. They even kept the car for almost a month once but that's another story. Dealer isn't really an option anymore because they have screwed me over so many times and damaged my car and now I have LT's and cat deletes so I know they'll blame that even tho this happened before I installed the headers.

Any thoughts?

That is not something I have ever heard of happening due to the MAF but it is worth checking.

At the moment, yes. The annual Spring Rush is in full effect.

did they correct this issue in later models, or is this something we should all look at? 2014 here.

No, it is still applicable. They do not view it as a problem since it only happens when you modify the car.

No problem. While they still use both on cars rolling off the assembly line, if you buy a Z28 air intake it includes a "strong" MAF.

I think I read somewhere on this thread... maybe it was this thread, that this doesn't apply if you're tuned?

Maybe I'm confused with that gas fuse pull thing and letting it sit overnight.
