Depends on which Hawk pads you got. The track packages will squeal a ton as expected. If you got ceramics it would indicate you might not have broken them in correctly or had dirty rotors during break in.

Do 3 mild stops from 30MPH, then do 2 hard stops from 45MPH. Fix it?

You should probably change your brake fluid when you do the pads and maybe rotors. I changed mine out to a higher temp fluid at about 18k and now just over 28k I still have a very firm pedal.

I got 32k on my first front brake change, im at 54k now and getting ready to change all 4 rotors out with power slottted rotors and Hawk pads. My dealer told me at my first brake change my rotors had to be changed, not turned due to a softer metal. I thought this was strange. No dealer brake jobs anymore for me
