I know he made lots of posts about all the problems he had with those wheels and he didn't like the ride quality and performance with 22" wheels.

Also - please don't go larger than 22". 22" wheels are already pushing the limits. I know sooooo many guys that put 22" wheels on their car that quickly realized they needed to move back down to 20",so they could have better handling and performing car.

If you didn't have 22" on your car, you would have beaten them by another 2-3 car lengths. Anyone that believes their 22" wheels don't slow their car down is just fooling themself.

GM even tested their 21" wheels and it slowed the SS down by about .2 on average (that equates to 20hp). That was due to a combination of extra weight and because the balance of that weight is moved further from center.

A 30 lb, 20" wheel take less energy to spin than a 30 lb, 22" wheel just because of the balance of the weight is further from center.

I watched a Camaro SS with a Whipple Supercharger and supporting mods go from running high 12s to running low 11s by just changing wheels/tires at the track. Now he runs 17" wheels as a daily driver setup. Now he can hook up on the street and at the track.

If guys like the look of 22-24" wheels that cool. But when they try to tell me they don't negatively affect their car's performance its completlely not true.

I wonder why they put 19" wheels on the Z28 and 18" wheels on the Z28R race car?

I agree. 24s are just huge even on an SUV

Or you could just go 20" max and not ruin a nice car!

It applies to both V6 and V8 ranks. The 2014 Z/28 has stock 19” for a reason. Plus the 22’s make you look like a complete idiot on a muscle car IMO. But if that’s your thing, then so be it.

There are 22's that weigh less than the stock camaro SS 20's! Plus didn't the hot wheels addition with 21's perform better than the regular SS? Show how much you Guy's know about performance! lmfao ..... Most of the ppl that uses the word ghetto to describe something they don't like are ghetto! Hahaha .... Sucks but true!

Good luck racing with 22s compared to smaller combos.

Oh, I agree! I'm saying that some 22's can be better on performance than some 20's.
