Made to Orlando. Checked in to the La Quinta Inn for the nite. Got a Victory Red SS to go with my Team Canada Hat. Hooking up with the 5 Maro's for the the trip to Ocala. Heading to the hot tub with some beers now.

Well..... No pictures but an update none-the-less.

Interesting day today. Rolling on I-81 until lunch with lots of interesting radio chatter. Then over lunch a decision.... Do we go the long way that is all interstate? Go the google suggested way which is secondary roads but fairly strait (see Rick's original routes)? Or take a rip on the norther section of the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) (google it)? What do you think we chose? Yep, high elevations (well not bad), lots of twisties, lots of look-outs, I wish I had more picutres but there was a few spots where I didn't really care to take my hands off the wheel Awesome drive - and we only did the VA section. The NC section is supposed to be unbelievable. Maybe next time (right Rachel? ).

Besides loosing a car on the way to the BRP (which we didn't see again until tonight at the hotel) things went fairly smooth. Until we got to the part where we were supposed to get back onto the highway. 1 sign, with no arrow, several hundred yards from a 4-way intersection with no other indications around. What the hell do you do ??? Here's want you do... you drive 10 miles up the road, then you get off on the wrong road, then you ask 3 different locals how to get back to the highway, all of which had mullets, 2 of which we couldn't understand and the 3rd gave us the wrong directions, then go back to where the GPS said turn left and stand on the bridge 50 feet above the road you want to get onto with no ramp in sight and try to figure out how the hell you're going to get down there (dukes of hazzard?). I'm probably missing a couple steps in there but that's pretty much what we spent 45 mins f'g around doing.

But, we made it to Greenville in one piece (although there was a close call) and got the cars cleaned up to do it all over again tomorrow..... this time starting at 6:30 . So just so everyone knows, we are working extremely hard here and very long hours to represent Canada

Beautiful country there, but the "twisties" in the road make me sick. If you want to talk elevation, though, bring it to Colorado!

As for the "locals" , I couldn't help but picture Joe Dirt . Should've asked for directions in French .

Thanks for the stories - it brought a smile to my day. Keep on rollin' (and posting).

I wonder who is going to get the longest distance award? You are a shoe in unless someone from Alaska shows up.
