Another variable

How about another interesting perspective.
Just check out the activity, call me crazy but one can draw some conclusions from here.....i would not mind it being in Arizona either. It will probably be more cost effective to hold it there

I think because the first one was such a huge success, they figured having it there the following year, it should be just as good, or close to it. but I think a lot of people that traveled far the first time, didn't want to travel to the same location the next year. I know a few people from Cali/NV/AZ went to the first one (me included), and didn't go the second time. also, I think a good chunk of texas folk didn't go. Which is a big hit, in and of itself. Not sure if as many Canadians made it either. It was probably still a decent turnout, but probably not what they were expecting. They did say it would help them get ahead in the search for future fest locations, but seems they fell behind again.

A lot of folks went to Indy 1.0 so not as many people felt like going to the same place twice in a row. Hence the drop in attendance.

If ur a "true camaro enthusiast" then you will go to whatever location is picked and stop complaining about it. Looks like the West should be considered to be fair whether its Cali, AZ, Utah, or Vegas.

you can be a true Camaro enthusiast, but your wallet might say otherwise.

I honestly believe California would be a flop if held there.
Even Texas with all of their clubs couldnt top the turnout of Indy.
Everyone wants the FEST in their backyard.
And everyone complains when its not.
I feel bad for the folks on the west coast.
You have to put yourself in the position of the people who are putting this on though.
Its a huge risk if there isnt enough support to cover the costs.
With that being said, I really dont care where its held.
If its within my range, I will go.
If its not, then I wont.
Life goes on people.
If Cali ever does get a shot, I hope it pays off because I can assure you it wont come back out there again if its a failure.

Why not have it in AZ again. That is where the second one was held. I was not able to go to the first fest, was convinced by a good friend to go to the second one. Did not make the two held at Indy, and did not make the one in Texas. I am a Junior High/Middle School History Teacher, so I have to work going to any event around the school year.

That little picture just tells me more California folks are either PW's or they use Camaro5 as their main group forum.

I know the Houston clubs have their own forum that they use for all group related activities. Same with some Dallas clubs, and the San Antonio crew uses facebook for all of their announcements and activity coordination, as well as having a separate website for the club.

So...using the Camaro5 regional sub-forum post activity is a bit misleading

I wouldn't mind the drive back to Chandler at all. Just depends on whether Firebird (or whatever it's being called now) will still play ball at the same track rental rate as they did for Fest II.

Heartland Park in Topeka can be set up for road course or drag racing. Its pretty centrally located also.
