W-blocks (348-409) were considered big blocks...and included the famous Z11 427 "Mystery" engine, circa '63.

396s were actually 402s from about mid-'69, on, at least in Malibus. In 1970, there was a non-SS Malibu option known as the "400" which in fact was a 402...not to be confused with the Small Black 400 that surfaced about the same time.

Clear as mud, huh?!

Question:

Name the displacements of "big blocks" Factory-installed in Chevrolet TRUCKS.

Bonus points: What was their final Production Year?

I can't compete on that question....I can't remember one for sure after '72 Cheyenne, especially the bigger trucks that could have gone on for years like the motorhome chassis

The 8.1L was available on 8600+ GVW 3/4 and any 1-ton single- or dual-wheel through MY '07.

454 was last available in 1/2-pounders, iirc, 1990-1993, and only then in the SS454 CC10703 Short Box 2WD.

454s were unavailable in any 1/2-Ton from MY '80 thru '89. 8600 GVW and above was a magic ingredient, then.

What was the first GM engine to feature cylinder deactivation technology? In theory, it was similar to the L99's Active Fuel Management system of today.
Bonus points if you name the year, make, and model of the car it was first offered in.

It would be the:
L62 6.0 Litre 8-6-4
1981 standard Cadillac engine / opt. on Seville

I don't recall any Chevy's having it,
Only Cadillac for 1 model year.
Although it was used in later limo's
