Damn! That looks slick! I've been thinking about doing this also..

I've been reading this thread and I read connect to grey then I see purple wire. Are the results the same I want the foot well lights to work in unison with the dome light. Also I got the LED light strip from Oracle, there's not a perfect place to secure them.

If you want the lights to work with the Dome light, you need to tap the grey wire, refer to post # 476 by rsokie. If you connet to the purple wire, then will be on whenever the light are on.

Aslo refer to post for 496, I posted a way to easily tap the grey wire (without breaking your back)

As for mounting the ACC strips, here is what I did (as I did not feel they were stiking very well to the plastic with all the groves and indents). I used a paint mixing stick (you can you any type of thin wood, the thinner the better) and cut it to the size of the strips, and then applied 3m double sided tape, I then mounted the strips to the stick. On the passengers side I mounted it the honeycomb looking plastic piece, it will hold no problem. For the drivers side there is a vey obvious location (sorry don’t know how to explain it), if you cannot spot it, let me know and I'll snap a picture.

I used zip ties on the passenger side as there were a few holes/cutouts at the bottom of the dash (below the glove box). I used the 3m tape for the drivers side though as there were no holes. Seems to be holding fine so far!

Outstanding idea with the paint sticks, I think that's the best one I have heard. The driver side placement that you refer to it most be the smooth surface near the aft edge. Got the grey wire insight but I can't get both arms in there over my head. I have a past injury where I can't left my head up laying on my back (neck fusion). I'll just catch the next friend that walks in. I can do the rest.

You dont have to lay on your back at all if you refer to post 496

Thank you nyrfan for helping me install the footwells. "You Rock" We did discover my wires were set further back in the dash then his own car which made the install a bit more challenging.

A couple pics of the finished product:

Does anybody know what amp the fuse is for the dome light? I think it blew the fuse, because the dome light does't work at all.

I just added the footwell LED lights. I blew a fuse and couldn't locate it. I did find it last evening. It was a 20 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood #33. Everything is working fine now.

What location (number) was that 20 amp fuse in? I would like to know in case I run into this issue when I do mine.
