Yep by the video thats the same noise I had.....mine was the drivers side also. take a screwdriver and pop that disk out and you will not hear it again.Glad I could help, that is whats nice about this site. bye the way I removed the other side also while I was under there so as it didn't start in to rattling later down the road.

I finally got to drive my new 1LE on Friday and I noticed that same noise. I will have to put it up on a lift this week and fix it the way you guys say to do it. Mine isn't too bad but I was starting to notice it.

Yeah that was def the noise. I put my finger on it, pushed a little and it fell right out. No sign of a spot weld ever being there. Must be a faulty machine. Maybe we could get Chevrolet Customer Service to open a case with gm? Seems to be the driver side is the problem.

How'd you like it?! I already have 550 miles on mine. just got back from Cleveland, Ohio about an hour ago.

Oh it is a lot of fun! I put about 250 on it this weekend and now it will sit until Saturday for the next car show.

Thanks! Got it all straightened out myself though. But maybe you could open a case with GM to look into why the machine is missing or placing weak welds on the driver side exhaust pipe, where the clamp snaps over the stud. The stud came loose on mind and rattled, with only 50 miles on the car. I came on here to find that this is a common problem.

Yeah. The noise in the video was a piece in the exhaust that was loose. I too have clutch noise. Almost like a bearing doesn't have enough grease. But from what I have read on here it's "normal" for these cars. Don't get me wrong, I still don't think it's okay, and will probably show itself more later on down the road, but it is common, aka "normal"

It sucks that this is so called "normal" I'm actually hoping it gets worse so I can have GM fix it. It's very annoying and embarrassing coming from a $40k car that's brand new.
