From my understanding....

There is a way of telling. But, to do so they will have to do a lot of looking into the computer, and in some cases the dealer may not even have access to the right computer to read that deeply into it. Also unless there is a SIGNIFICANT problem, it is beyond most dealers to dive that deeply into the issue....

That is just my thoughts, some may feel otherwise, but that is my $.02

Have to agree with ZZ. I have flashed my previous cars without issues.

So, how many seperate tune files can you save on the diablo? I know you have stock and the one that comes with the predator. Does it come with a stage 1 and stage 2 like superchips or just 1 high performance tune? When you tuner guys custom tune does it overwrite 1 of the 2 existing tunes or is this a seperate tune alltogether that you can save seperately?

Thanks guys for all the help

The reality is your taking chances with any Mods depending on how much of a dick your service department is.

It is Your Car and You should personalize it the way you want to.

Typically they come with 3 tunes, 87 octane 91 octane and 93 octane, those remain in the unit regarless, then you can store up to 5 more tunes in the custom tune section.

We would love to put our powerflash cable against the Diablo or SCT boxes. With our cable you can store as many files as you like, no need to pay for a custom tune once the package is purchased, we can turn off whatever check engine lights you may have.

Not to mention our second to none trans calibrations have had people turning heads for quite some time now.

Let us know Ted!

Ted, you can read our whole write up here.

And once purchased, there is never any cost for updates.

If I am reading this right, this is similar to a Diablo except the customer cannot make any changes to the tune files, it is just a transport device for what you write.

I don't see how this compares to Diablo or SCT where end users can make adjustments to existing tunes or even the stock file.

We also Offer a 1 time Tune Fee and Give Free Updates if needed.

If I am wrong Please explain.

Ted.

Thats correct. Our powerflash does not enable the end user to make adjustments. The Diablo sends 3 generic files to the end user for them to adjust. Our Cables give you the EXACT calibration based on your mods. If for any reason something needs tweaking our software will data log and veiw codes so we can futher adjust the end user's tune. Also the end user for the Diablo or SCT ect. can only make adjustments at w.o.t what about part throttle calibration for economy and such?

+1

I've been wondering the same thing, and it always just turns into a your-word-vs-mine argument every time it's brought up...

I have the SLP Loud Mouth II installed on my L99. I want to disable AFM because I hate the sound it makes when it changes back and forth, and especially how often it does it. I currently have no interest in modifying any other settings at all. I don't drag race... I just drive. I also want to be able to take my car to the dealer for regular maintenance and warranty work if necessary, with no hassle.

Any suggestions?

Roughly what is the price difference between Preditor and Trinity? I saw where Ted sells the Preditor for about $369....how much are the Trinity going for? I don't need an exact number because I know that pricing is not allowed. Just trying to get a ball park figure.

Also, say I bought one from Ted, is there an additional fee for tuning? I'm assuming not if I use the built in tunes but if for some reason I might need a custom tune there would be a one time charge? If so, about how much is that charge $50, $100, $200?
