I will wait to see if they make a new ZL1 and it's specs before I decide.

.02 -- GM should show some to their "Brand Loyal" folks. Like the 20% discount some folks took advantage of but was not available when I bought mine -- -- (brand loyal folks should get this certificate in the mail --reward your loyal folks).
Anyway, like the sound of the v6 BUT will hold off for the ZL1/Z28 model! |

I expect there will be a Gen 6 ZL1/Z28 of some sort. Obviously the new SS will be a great performer.......closing in on the ZL1 but not quite there. I get a new car about every 3-4 years so the timing would be perfect for the new Super Camaro. Looking forward to it.

Hard to say until a ZL1 type model is introduced. One thing I'm thinking about is that the current ZL1 is damn near bulletproof. The drivetrain is just so strong. Reading some posts over on Corvette forum in the Z06 section there have been various issues with the LT4 (cooling issues, some blown engines). Time will tell.

I'm going to do everything possible not to trade my ZL1 in for the new 6 Gen. I love my car so it shouldn't be to hard.
I have a bit of impulsive buying problem though. Even if I really do like the styling and updates I'm going to do my best to hold out for the new 6 Gen. ZL1 . The general consensus here is that people think the new Z will not be release until 2017 or 2018. I personally think you will see it sooner, around late 2016. Also I'm a long time mustang guy to and I can not get that new GT350 out of my mind... beautiful! Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk |

Bottom line is with the new Hellcat, GT350 and 6th Gen Camaro (and eventually a 6th Gen ZL1/Z28), it's just an awesome time to be an enthusiast! I'm 45 and I can't remember ever having a choice of such awesomeness. Hard to really go wrong with anything you pick. 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, Nurburgring times.....those will forever be looked at and scrutinized.....but they'll all be really fast cars that handle great. I hope it goes on for the next 50 years like this.

I have looked at the release pictures and the car is too busy for me everywhere inside and out. I am probably in the minority but I prefer the simplicity of the ZL1. I think the 6th gen is a great car for many, but I will stick with the 5th Gen Z for some time.

Wait and see what the ZL1 and Z28 are and probably get one if I like them. Will keep the Gen 5 just like I did with my Gen 2. You can never have enough Camaro's.

The 6th gen zl1 (or z28) won't hVe 700hp. It will have approximately what the 2016 ctsv will have which is what 640? I really doubt it will have much more than that. Even the inside of both cars are similar.
Also you have to keep in mind that there are product cycles. Next zl1 will Prob be similar hp rating as ctsv. Then they will eventually supercharge the z28 motor. Maybe 4 years from now. Constant refreshes etc. |

First impression? I'm not sure about it. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't. This I know for sure its not enough of a change for me to sell or trade my girl to get a new one. The performance upgrade is substantial but I'm way passed that with my mods and what's in my garage waiting to be installed. So it would be a step backwards for me.
If they had made it look like a '70 Split Bumper I'd be at the dealer already... Sent from my QTAQZ3 using Tapatalk
