Needing suggestions on black wheels ...

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions from the Camaro5 family for wheels. Here is my car ...

For those of you with filters (like my computer at work) ... VR SS with painted black Rally Stripes and tint.

I am looking for 20" all black custom wheels. I want to use the stock tires, so something close to the stock 20x8 and 20x9 sizes. I also can't afford to spend big bucks for a set of wheels .... looking to spend around $1K for a set. I found this wheel which I like and is very reasonably priced:

Any other ideas? Also ... one buddy put Lexani's on his car that were offset +20 front & rear. but another wheel guy says a +35 offset front & rear would tuck better ... anyone tried this or know for sure if these will fit and clear the brakes?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Not feeling those rims you posted. I like these, but they are a little out of your price range. Have you thought about powdercoating your stockers?

Powdercoat the factory wheels, they look much better and are probably better quality too.

Nine Ball - Do you have the specs of the Havoc wheels? Offsets and such?

Great wheels - however, I know the offsets are not the same as the OEM wheels since they rub my KW V3 coilovers...

Oh, these are Black Chrome

I don't know what your feelings are on price an such but you can pickup a set of KMC Rockstars for like 200 a piece? Alot of people have rockstar rims but these look pretty cool in the car version; and they're made specifically for the Camaro fitment. www.americanracing.com

KMC wheels are intended for trucks and SUV's. Just because they fit, that doesn't mean they are purposely built for a lighter car. Wheels designed for an SUV are very heavy, as they require more aluminum to handle the load ratings of those trucks.

When it comes to wheels, you get what you pay for. You wouldn't paint your Camaro with a rattle-can would you? Wheels are more important visually than paint is.

I agree with Tony 110%. Powdercoat your stockers. They're OE so the fit is excellent, are aluminum, and will be lighter then anything you'll get in that price range. Plus anything in that price range will be cast and very heavy.
